🎙️Season 2 • Episode 6: The Selves We Created to Survive
ometimes the hardest part of healing isn't facing our past...
It's recognizing the identities we created to survive it.
This week, I'm reflecting on a question from one of my coaching classes that I haven't been able to shake:
"What would happen if I stopped protecting that identity?"
As I sat with that question, I realized something surprising about myself—that my independence may not just be a sign of strength, but also a way of protecting myself from the fear that people won't show up when I need them.
In this episode, I explore emotional healing, self-discovery, vulnerability, old survival patterns, and the grace of thanking the versions of ourselves that carried us through difficult seasons without letting them define who we become.
Maybe healing isn't about becoming someone new.
Maybe it's about loosening our grip on who we thought we had to be.
